The script is simply not well developed enough. A very, very, very common problem. First film makers always underestimate just how good a script has to be to fly, and with a thriller the standard has to be really high for it to be believable. Even though the storyline and sentiments are great, the motivations and development of the central character Liz, the PR girl, and the threat to her, are not nearly strong enough. As a result, the plot line seems childish in places and for a 21st century sophisticated audience, a lot more plot and suspense would’ve helped.There are many reasons for this problem, and one big one is genre.
